With a teaching and administrative staff of over 35, PVIS offers a comprehensive education in a stimulating environment to over 300 students from 23 different countries.


Since its foundation in 1985, PVIS has grown from a Correspondence Centre to a large institution consisting of an Early Education Centre, the Primary Years of Years 1-7, and the Secondary Years of Years 8-10.


The curriculum offered at Port Vila International School is sourced from various regions. This is complemented with input and ideas from New Zealand, Europe and Vanuatu.


Candidates applying for teaching positions at PVIS must have  an internationally recognised qualification, excellent employment history and ideally a minimum of two years' teaching experience. Contributions to co-curricular programmes are essential. Candidates must uphold the public and professional reputation of teachers at all times. Referees will be contacted for successful candidates.
